Voluntary No-Anchor Zone, Jennycliff Bay, Plymouth Sound

A Voluntary No Anchor Zone (VNAZ) has been put in place in Jennycliff Bay, Plymouth Sound, to protect a newly planted seagrass meadow through a partnership project between Plymouth City Council, the Royal Yachting Association, Ocean Conservation Trust, Marine Conservation Society, and Natural England.

Please see the project website for more info https://saveourseabed.co.uk/

The VNAZ has buoy markers in place showing the area. Please click the below link to a flier with information for local and visiting boat owners about the VNAZ, why it has been put in place, and ensuring safe access to anchorages.

QHM Plymouth has also issued a Notice to Mariners about the VNAZ.
