Chichester 50th Celebrations

50 years since Sir Francis Chichester returned to Plymouth from his historic single handed journey around the world, there is a re-enactment, in celebration of this anniversary, on Sunday 28 May 2017,

Boats and yachts are invited to join a re-enactment flotilla on the day (dressed overall if possible). Please see the poster attached for meeting point for vessels/VHF contact.

From 10am       Flotilla of Yachts in Plymouth Sound
11:30am           Sir Francis Chichester’s son Sir Giles Chichester arrives at The Waterfront steps, West Hoe
11:45am           Gipsy Moth flypast
12:00pm           Tiger Moth air display  

 ‘Gyspy Moth IV’ will be on public view from 26 -28 May at Queen Anne’s Battery Marina, Coxside, Plymouth.
