Chichester 50th Celebrations 50 years since Sir Francis Chichester returned to Plymouth from his historic single handed journey around the world, there is a re-enactment, in celebration of this anniversary, on Sunday 28 May 2017, Boats and yachts are invited to join a re-enactment flotilla on the day (dressed overall if possible). M.V. Cemgulf, lying at the recently commissioned West Country Cement import terminal, in the Cattewater. West Country Cement is a joint venture between Glendenning and Fahey and secures a strategic site for the distribution of cementitious products to the region. Cemgulf discharged over 4000 tonnes of cement loaded at Dublin and will be a regular caller at the port in the future.
