The Ports and Marine Facilities Safety Code is designed to ‘enhance safety for everyone who works in, or uses, ports, harbours, marinas and other marine facilities. Recognising the significant differences in the role, powers, duties, responsibilities and risks that different organisations have and manage, the Code is intended to be sufficiently flexible to enable its principles to be applied in a manner proportionate to local requirements.’
The code aims to improve safety across the port industry, and is something the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners respects and aims to be fully compliant at all times, in all areas of the port operation.
