The Plymouth Pilotage Service is the civil pilotage authority for the Port of Plymouth.
In 1988 the Pilotage Act, followed by the Cattewater Harbour (Pilotage) Revision Order, gave the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners responsibility, as Competent Harbour Authority (C.H.A.) for Pilotage within the Plymouth Pilotage District, acting on behalf of all three civil harbour authorities.
Our fully authorised pilots, supported by our pilot boat coxswains and marine crew provide a 24/7 service to the Port of Plymouth.
