The Cattewater Harbour team strives to be sustainable in all that we do. As a Trust port we have a commitment to conserve the Harbour’s assets and functionality, support our community and protect the environment. Over the years we have undertaken many initiatives to enhance the Harbour and improve our ability to be effective caretakers and operators for the benefit of a wide range of stakeholders. Looking forward we have defined our path ahead in the form of a Masterplan Overview and also within our first Sustainability Strategy.
To enable access our Sustainability Strategy can be viewed within this section of our website. Our Sustainability Strategy will be maintained and updated as applicable – it is not intended to be refreshed annually, instead Strategy changes will respond to our dynamic context and evolving stakeholder issues. Our Sustainability Strategy will remain a live ever-green set of information.
The Cattewater Harbour Sustainability Strategy lays out what we plan to do, and within this launch version we have also described our operating context of recent projects and work already done. In the future we intend to report on progress – including performance against our targets related to the chosen themes of: People, Planet and Prosperity – we will publish these reports within this section of the website.
Our Sustainability Strategy has been defined within a development context that includes national, regional and local initiatives including:
