Devon Mind and Cattewater Harbour Commissioners prepare for Plymouth Harbour 10K 2026

11 Sep 2026

With just over two weeks to go, Devon Mind and Cattewater Harbour Commissioners are preparing for the return of the Plymouth Harbour 10K on Sunday 27 September, as runners get ready to take on a picturesque route around Plymouth’s iconic harbour and waterfront.

The community event, organised by local mental health charity Devon Mind and sponsored by Cattewater Harbour Commissioners, starts at Mount Batten at 9am before following the South West Coast Path through Turnchapel, around Hooe Lake and through Radford Park Woods. Runners then continue through Oreston and across Laira Bridge before heading through Cattedown, around the harbour, finishing on the Barbican at Commercial Wharf.

Cattewater Harbour Commissioners return as headline sponsor for the fourth Plymouth Harbour 10K, continuing their support for Devon Mind and the event.

Captain Richard Allan, Chief Executive and Harbour Master of Cattewater Harbour Commissioners, said:

“The Devon Mind 10K Plymouth Harbour Run has become a highlight event in our calendar. We’re proud to be sponsoring the 2026 event and to continue our support for Devon Mind. The run enables runners, volunteers and spectators to enjoy the route around Cattewater Harbour, learn more about the work we do in the port and for our local community, and raise much needed for funds for the charity too.”

The Plymouth Harbour 10K is a non-competitive, accessible community challenge, with no timings recorded and no rankings published. It is open to runners of all abilities, including those taking on their first 10K.

Every entry helps raise vital funds for Devon Mind’s mental health services across Devon, helping people experiencing mental health difficulties access information, advice, support and opportunities to improve their wellbeing.

Devon Mind is also encouraging local residents to come out and support the runners on the day, helping create an atmosphere along the route whilst flying the flag for better mental health in the community.

Olivia Craig, Chief Executive of Devon Mind, added:

“The Plymouth Harbour 10K is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, raise vital funds, and help break the stigma surrounding mental health.

Everyone who signs up, volunteers or comes out to support the event plays a vital role in helping us reach more people and make a lasting difference. We’re so grateful for your support and hope you’ll join us in making our 2026 10K our biggest and most impactful yet.”

Standard entry costs £25, and places are still available. Runners can register at phr.devonmind.com/10k and join Devon Mind and the local community for the Plymouth Harbour 10K on Sunday 27 September.
